Dell’s stylish new netbook the Inspiron Mini 9 has hit the markets in UK with both Linux and Windows versions being available for sale. The Linux version sports an 8 GB hard drive and comes with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor along with 1GB of memory and low resolution 0.3-megapixel webcam and has price tag of GBP 269 attached to it. Those who are looking for a larger disk space can opt for the 16GB Windows version which also features a 1.3 megapixel camera and is available for GBP 299 only. Other notable features include standard ports, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support along with an 8.9inch screen. The minor difference in price between the Windows and Linux version is likely to make people choose the former which not only has a higher storage capacity but also has a better webcam to boot. Incidentally the Linux version is available for free with a 2 year, GBP 25 per month broadband contract with Vodaphone and comes loaded with Vodaphone SIM.
